In this day and age when high gloss and gimmicks take the place of style and inventiveness, it is a pleasure to hear an artist like Whipd Beats. On this album the listener is treated to a compilation of a tasteful mixing of a variety of House and House sub-genres fused together. There is a wonderful and exciting spontaneity that distinguishes each track with a uniqueness and an individuality all of its own. You can expect the unexpected from this album! It is filled with paradoxes just like the creator.

On side "A" (tracks one to eight) is a collection of ambient jazz, soulful gospel blues, chill out downtempo, electronica, a soulful vocal ballad, and a fusion of Hip Hop with Tango. Like a painter who uses colour knowingly Whipd Beats is a weaver of moods that are softly textured, with richness, warmth, depth, and soul.

On side "B" (tracks nine to thirteen) Whipd Beats creates a voluptuous sound for dance floors that is full of rhythmic freedom and melodic spontaneity. She ventures down uncovered pathways, fusing different genres together, and trying a variety of approaches to get to the essence of the music and tell her story. This is a collection of Afro-disco house, tribal tech, progressive jazzy house, classic house, and more. There is an open-mindedness and an unorthodox acoustic approach allowing Whipd Beats to escape the usual conventionalities and create music that is electric and fresh.

Between these two very different tempos lies the personality of the artist, a sensitivity that listeners want, a careful choice of instruments, and a flawless interpretation that will linger hauntingly in the listeners memory for a long time to come. Both are valid, both are potent.
